Using time-tested acrobatic training techniques, students will learn skills to enhance their personal handstand practice from the ground up. Through discussion of handstand theory and physical practice, Brian will break down techniques to refine and make handstands easier and more accessible for everybody. Brian believes that handstand drills are the keys to building and sustaining a handstand practice, so regardless of whether you currently have a handstand practice or not, this workshop is open to all levels.
Thai Massage is one of the practices that hone an AcroYogi's ability to be sensitive and receptive. The flow of giving and receiving, honoring and accepting, inhaling and exhaling will take both yogis into a new place of union and bliss. We will use Thai Massage techniques and incorporate metta, or loving kindness, to provide release to the entire body, the perfect complement to a strong yoga or acrobatics practice. This workshop will enhance the ability to connect deeper with one's physical touch and being able to read and assess another body.
AcroYoga is a partner-based practice open to everyone of any experience or age. Together we will touch upon all the disciplines that AcroYoga offers, combining Yoga, Acrobatics, and Thai Massage. This workshop provides a safe environment to explore trust, connection and playfulness all in the spirit of coming together. Brian will demonstrate techniques for bases, flyers and spotters that will keep the flying safe, supported, and fun. No previous AcroYoga experience is required, but students are requested to have familiarity with yoga. You are welcome to come as a single or with a partner.
